The Center for Grieving Children and Their Families
Grieving children and families need opportunities to join together for relaxation, celebration and fun during the process of healing. Planned family events at our center help children feel that they are not alone, and they allow children to enjoy each other while participating in fun activities in a safe and supportive environment. Some of the upcoming Supporting Kidds family events are:
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTTuesday, September 13 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Going back to school after a death can be a scary and overwhelming time. Join us for this special one night support group to find ways to manage grief while adjusting to a new school year. Children will work in small groups with same-aged peers. Adults will discuss ways to support their children coping with a loss as they return to school. Open to grieving children ages 5-18 and their caregivers. HEALING PATHWAYSHealing Pathways begins October 5, 2016 and runs for 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30p - 8:30p. This program is for children ages 5-18 and caregivers.
